Quick Checklist
- Browser: Google Chrome (preferred) or Mozilla Firefox (latest version)
- Do not use Safari or Microsoft Edge — they are not compatible with Big Interview's Fast Track course
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later | macOS 10.15 or later | Linux (Ubuntu 18.04 or later)
- Internet Speed: Minimum 3 Mbps download/upload | Recommended 10 Mbps or higher
- Hardware: Webcam (720p or higher) | Microphone | Speakers or Headphones | 4 GB RAM minimum
Suggested Browsers
For the best experience, especially with the Fast Track course and webcam functionality, use one of the following:
- Google Chrome (preferred)
- Mozilla Firefox
✅ Make sure your browser is updated to the latest version.
❌ Do not use Safari, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, or other browsers. These may cause issues with the Fast Track course or recording video and audio.
Operating Systems
Big Interview is compatible with:
- Windows: 10 or later
- macOS: 10.15 (Catalina) or later
- Linux: Ubuntu 18.04+ and other modern distributions (some video features may vary)
Mobile App and Mobile Browser Compatibility
Big Interview is available as a mobile app for iOS and Android. Mobile and tablet support for recording answers may be temporarily unavailable during platform updates or maintenance.
- The mobile app supports core features such as Practice Interviews and Lessons when those features are available.
- Mobile and tablet browsers are not generally compatible with recording answers.
- For reliable recording, use an updated version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox on a desktop or laptop.
- If you do not have access to a computer, using an up-to-date Google Chrome browser on an iPad with Settings → Desktop Site enabled may allow access, but a desktop or laptop is recommended for recording and assignments.
- If recording is unavailable or a prompt remains stuck loading on a mobile device, switch to a desktop or laptop and use Chrome or Firefox.
Using a Smartphone or Tablet Browser
Big Interview does not generally support recording through a regular browser on smartphones or tablets, including Android devices. For reliable recording, use an updated version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox on a desktop or laptop computer.
If you do not have access to a computer, you can try Google Chrome on your mobile device with Desktop Site enabled. This may allow you to access the platform, but a desktop or laptop is recommended for assignments and recording.
A strong and stable internet connection is essential for recording and uploading videos.
- Minimum Speeds: 3 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload.
- Recommended Speeds: 10 Mbps or higher for smooth video performance.
- Use a wired Ethernet connection or 5 GHz Wi-Fi for the most reliable connection.
Avoid using public or shared networks that may restrict webcam or microphone permissions.

- Microphone: Built-in or USB external mic/headset for clear audio
- Speakers / Headphones: Required for audio playback and review
Accessibility
Big Interview supports screen readers and keyboard navigation.
- Compatible with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver when using Chrome or Firefox.
- Closed captions and transcripts available for video lessons.

Known Issues and Tips
- Safari is not supported. Users may experience blank screens or recording failures.
- Ad-blockers and VPNs can interfere with video uploads — disable them while using Big Interview.
- Firewalls or security software on managed devices may block camera/mic permissions. Check with your administrator.
- Using remote desktop software (e.g., Citrix, VDI, or virtual machines) may cause video issues.
If videos do not record properly, clear browser cache and cookies and try again.
