VideoAI and Eye Tracking

When you open a Practice Set, Custom Set, or an Assignment that uses VideoAI, you’ll go straight to the questions and can start recording without any calibration step. You can also disable eye-tracking feedback in your account settings if you prefer.

Some users may not be able to make eye contact or may not wish to enable eye tracking in VideoAI.

While this setting can be disabled at either the individual or organizational level, you can manage your personal preferences directly within your account settings. Your score will not be impacted, and you will still get valuable feedback from the system in other areas.

Follow these steps to disable eye tracking:

1. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner
2. Select My Account
3. Uncheck the option for Enable Eye Tracking Feedback
4. Click Update Profile.

FAQ

Is eye tracking required to use Big Interview?

No. Eye-tracking calibration is no longer required to use Big Interview. Eye tracking is optional, and you can turn it on or off in your account settings.

How do I turn eye tracking off?

1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
2. Select My Account.
3. Uncheck Enable Eye Tracking Feedback.
4. Click Update Profile to save your changes.

Do I still need to allow camera access?

Yes. Eye tracking and camera access are separate. You must still allow Big Interview to access your camera in your browser or device settings to record video.
