Unsubmit an Assignment

If a student needs to re-record their assignment responses, the assignment must be unsubmitted first. Once an assignment is unsubmitted, the student will be able to record new responses and can continue using the same assignment code.

Who Can Unsubmit an Assignment

Only admins or instructors can unsubmit assignments. Students and end users cannot unsubmit assignments on their own.

Support can unsubmit assignments if they can confirm that a technical issue affected the student’s submission. If a technical issue cannot be verified, support will defer to the assignment creator for approval.

What Happens After an Assignment Is Unsubmitted

Once unsubmitted, the student’s submission is reopened. The student can re-record responses and resubmit the assignment. The assignment code remains the same, so the student does not need a new link or code.

IMPORTANT: Impact on Progress Unsubmitting an assignment erases all existing progress. Once unsubmitted, all previous recordings are cleared, and the student must re-record every response from the beginning to resubmit.
