Navigating Practice Sets

Log in to your Big Interview account. Navigate to Practice and click on Practice Sets.

Choose a Set

Browse the sets and select the one that best aligns with your goal.

• General Interview Questions

This category covers about 90% of the questions you’re likely to encounter in a typical job interview, helping you to feel prepared and confident for almost any role.

• Industry-Specific Interviews

Get specialized practice with questions that target specific industries, such as finance, healthcare, tech, and more. This category helps you focus on the nuances of interviewing in your chosen field.

• Competency & Skill-Based Questions

Select from a variety of essential skills and competencies that interviewers look for in top candidates. This set helps you demonstrate strengths in areas such as leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and technical skills.

• Admissions Interviews

Tailored practice for those applying to academic programs. You can choose from undergrad, grad school, business school, law school, or medical school interviews to ensure you make a strong impression in your admissions process.

• Government Position Interviews

Prepare for interviews with federal, state, or local government agencies. This set is crafted to reflect the unique questions and expectations often found in government job interviews.

• Veterans’ Career Path Interviews

Record your Interview

Once you have chosen a set, click on the interviewer (Practice with [interviewer name]) to begin.

Click the Play button to hear the interviewer ask the question. If you need some extra help, click on the Tips button for tips and sample answers.

Click on Start Recording. Record your response and click on Save answer. If you would like to record more responses, click on Next question.

Review Saved Answers

Visit My Videos to review your saved answers. Once an answer is saved, you can do a lot with it, including reviewing, rating, and sharing. This is also where you'll be able to review your AI Feedback (if applicable).

Finding Your Custom Sets

If your school or organization's admins have created specific question sets for your program, follow these steps to locate them:

1. Navigate: From the top menu, go to Practice and select Practice Sets.
2. Locate: Look at the left-hand side of the screen where the categories are listed.
3. Select: Click on the specific Custom Set you’d like to work on.

Note on Custom Sets: These are specialized question sets set up by your admins or organization. They differ from the predefined sets housed on the platform and are tailored to your specific program or industry goals.
