# **Managing Assignment Sharing & Ownership**

The **Sharing & Ownership** settings allow admins to control who can view, collaborate on, and manage assignments. These options make it easier to keep assignments private when needed, share them with selected admins, or transfer ownership.

## **Accessing Sharing & Ownership Settings**
1. Go to the assignment you want to manage.
2. Open the **Actions** dropdown menu.
3. Select **Sharing & Ownership** to view privacy, sharing, and ownership options.

## **Privacy Settings**
Assignments can be set to **Private** or shared with selected admins:
* **Private:** Only the owner can view and manage the assignment.
* **Shared:** The assignment remains private to everyone except the selected admins.
To change privacy:
* Use the toggle in the **Sharing & Ownership** window.
* Switching an assignment back to Private removes access for any shared admins.

## **Sharing Assignments with Other Admins**
You can share an assignment with specific admins without making it public.
**To share:**
1. In **Sharing & Ownership**, use the **Share With** search box to add admins.
2. Remove shared admins at any time if they no longer need access.
**Important:** Only the **Owner** can manage sharing.

## **Transferring Ownership**
The creator of an assignment becomes the default Owner, but ownership can be transferred to another admin.
**To transfer ownership:**
1. Select a new owner from the dropdown list.
2. Confirm by selecting **“Yes, Transfer Ownership.”**
The new owner will then have full control over privacy and sharing settings.
