# Creating Custom Sets

### Custom Sets Overview

Custom Sets function the same way as Practice Sets: users can record as many takes as they like, with no time limits. Completing the entire set is optional. Unlike Assignments, **video lessons cannot be added to Custom Sets.**
**NOTE:** Custom Sets do **not** include reporting features. However, users can share their recorded responses directly with admins for review and feedback.

| Custom Sets can only be created by admin users (Admin or Org Admin). They cannot currently be created by students, consumers, etc.

### Use Cases for Custom Sets
Custom Sets are a flexible way to create interview practice content tailored to your learners or local job market. Consider creating Custom Sets for:

* **Employers you work with regularly:** Build sets that reflect real hiring processes or partnerships with local companies.
* **Popular industries in your area:** Add interview question sets for fields that may not currently be represented in Practice Sets.
* **Upcoming job fairs or hiring events:** Create focused sets to help students and job seekers prepare for specific employers or industries featured at an event.

### How to Access and Create Custom Sets
1. If you are currently in the **Student View**, you will need to switch modes to access administrative features.
2. Click the **Big Interview logo** (or the **dropdown arrow**) in the top-left corner to open the app menu.
3. Under the **EXTRA** section, click **Admin Mode**.

### Here is how to create a new Custom Set:
1. From the **Admin** dashboard, click **Interviews** and then **Custom Sets**

2. Click on "New Custom Set"

3. Select Questions: Choose from any question category in our library

4. Click the green plus sign to add a question to your set

5. If needed, add your own custom questions

6. Click on "Add Custom Question"

7. Choose "Record" or "Upload"

You can upload files or record in Big Interview.

8. Upload Question

**Note:** Uploaded files must be in **MP4** format.

9. Click on "Save & Continue"

10. Type the text of your question

You can also add **(Tips)** if you want to help interviewees prepare to answer this question.

11. Reorder Questions

You can drag and drop questions to put them in the right order.

12. Name your Custom Set

13. Click on "Save Custom Set"

You're all done! Students can now practice this set. You can also reuse this set or custom questions in Assignments.
